Medical service

According to the International Health Regulations, medical service provided to students of KBTU is carried out in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education of RK № 404/361 of 25.08.1992 "On measures to improve health care and living conditions of students in higher and secondary special institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan" In January 2006 the medical center was renamed in to “Medical control and prevention services of KBTU”. In the medical center there are two doctors and a nurse. Annually the contract for medical care provided to students is signed by Almaty city Student Clinic. 
The personnel of the Medical control and prevention services prepares plans and reports on activities and submits them to the administration of Almalinskii district in the prescribed manner. The staff is also responsible for running medical records and reporting in accordance with the approved forms.

General practitioner: Esenova Kulyash Khairbulatovna (higher category doctor) 
Practice nurse: Karbozova Nurgulsin Abdrahmanovna (first category nurse)

Monday-Friday - 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. 
Lunch time 1:00 a.m – 2:00 p.m

    • Accident and emergency services
      • We provide emergency cover during opening hours. We ask you to remember the location of the office and our contact numbers. Patients should telephone on 103 for out-of-hours emergency care.
    • Consulting
      • Consultations and discussions with any member of the Practice team are private and confidential. Information will not be given to tutors or parents without your permission and consent
      • However, if you have major medical problems that interfere with your ability to study, the doctor has the right to report your situation to the Dean's office. You can discuss your health problems with your doctor during consultation.
    • Medical examination
      • Every year early September we conduct the routine medical examination of all students. This allows the Practice team to split students into groups of health status and groups for physical training. The results of the examinations are recorded in the medical records of students. Based on the examination and taking into account the illnesses the Practice team gives a comprehensive assessment of a student’s health and provides recommendations for the treatment and prevention.
    • X-ray examination
      • X-ray examination of students is mandatory and is held once a year. It is compulsory for all students of KBTU.
    • Medical certificates
      • Medical certificates can not be issued post factum. The doctor has the right to write a medical certificate that is valid only from the date of a visit.
        Medical certificates can be issued by private clinics, outpatient clinics, Almaty city student clinic, emergency departments and hospitals. A medical control and prevention service of KBTU accepts and confirms medical certificates of the form №095У. A medical control and prevention service of KBTU has no right to issue medical certificates for other medical institutions.
        A student, who has missed classes due to health problems, should file a certificate to SMKP during 3 days after returning to classes. After approval of the certificate by the doctor, a student should show it to the tutor and then submit it to the Dean’s office.
