The quality management system of Kazakhstan-British Technical University (KBTU) is aimed at ensuring and improving the quality of educational services. Quality management includes the definition of goals in the field of quality, meeting the requirements for the academic quality, creating consumer confidence in the reliability and quality of education, enhancing the quality by various means----regular training seminars, workshops and other skill development initiatives.

 

The introduction of international quality management standards at KBTU is a strategic decision that contributes to the improvement of the university’s performance and creates a solid foundation for initiatives for the University’s sustainable development.

 

Kazakhstan-British Technical University is certified under three management systems:

• ISO 9001 - Quality Management System;

• ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System;

• OHSAS 18001 -Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

 

The certificates of compliance are issued by the certification body "Almaty Certification Bureau" and are valid till December 20, 2021 in the above three standards.

 

In 2018, the University’s integrated management system successfully introduced a process approach and risk-based thinking based on the PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act) in accordance with the new requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO14001: 2015.

At present, KBTU has ensured a rational and effective distribution of powers and responsibilities of the management staff, which allows them to make decisions swiftly following quality standards and procedures and taking into consideration the consequences and high responsibility for their decisions. Our Quality Management System is vigorous and efficient. Nonetheless, quality enhancement is integral part of our System. This allows continuous improvements in academic and professional quality standards practiced at KBTU. We believe in efficiency and speed without compromising the quality.
