Leyla N. Salykova, the head of the Economics and Management Department, a Candidate of Economic Sciences.
Leyla N. Salykova is a PhD student of the Robert Gordon University, specialty - International business. She has more than 16 years of teaching experience, including experience at holding a high post such as: the head of the chair of economic theory and government management of Kyzylorda State University named after Korkyt ata, associated professor of the chair of economic theory and government management of Kyzylorda State University named after Korkyt ata.
She is an author of more than 30 publications in Kazakhstan and abroad. She participated in many Kazakhstani and foreign conferences, seminars. She is responsible for supervision of the Chair and educational, educational-methodical, and pedagogical work of the Chair. She is responsible for research work of the teaching staff. She supervises and reviews research papers of bachelor students and masters.

The Economics and Management Department is the primary teaching, scientific, innovative and educational structural unit in the financial and economic faculty.
The mission of the Economics and Management Department is provide students with high quality education in economics and management. These areas include many kinds of specialization. The department prepares students in the field of Economics, Statistics, Management of Inventories and Marketing, as well as in the field of Business Planning and Government Regulation of Economy.
The Department teaches group of disciplines according to the curriculum of Bachelors’ in “Economics” 050506 and “Management” 050507.
BSc in Economics
A specialist working in any economic sphere and any enterprise, and must solve economic problems, work out business plans, know the particulars of current market activities, count returns, expenses and benefits on production, effectively distribute the enterprise resources, and forecast the tendencies of the economic situation. This demands a profound mathematical preparation. There are many good reasons to concentrate in economics. For students interested in international trade, business cycles, environment or stock market, economics is a great choice. A person who seeks a quantitative, rigorous approach to social science will find economics to be an exciting, vibrant discipline. Many students choose to concentrate in economics in order to receive excellent backgrounds for professional work in business, banking, law and even in medicine.
BSc in Management
A specialist with a complex of special theoretical knowledge and practical skills for solving problems of economic and organizational character. Having theoretical knowledge and practical skills for situational management, applying informational technology for collection, storage and analysis of information, and effective management of business processes and the stuff, the specialist will be able to find the most complicated decisions for management under the conditions of critical situations and ambiguous perspectives.

Abdrahmanova T Gulnar - Head of Finance Department, Associate Professor, Doctor of Economic Sciences (Kazakh Economic University after T.Riskulov, Kazakhstan, Almaty)
Gulnar T. Abdrakhmanova, the dean of the Finance and Economics Faculty, a Doctor of Science in Economics.
Gulnar T. Abdrakhmanova graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management, the Finance and Credit Faculty. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience, including experience at holding a high post such as: the Head of the Chair of University of International Business, associated professor of leading universities (Kazakh Academy of Transportation and Communications, University of International Business), Financial Director of Talap LLP.
She is an author of more than 100 publications in Kazakhstan and abroad, 7 monographs and textbooks. She participated in many Kazakhstani and foreign conferences, seminars, master-classes and training courses. 4 candidates of Science in Economics defended their dissertations under the dean’s supervision. She is responsible for supervision of the Faculty and educational, educational-methodical, and pedagogical work of the Faculty. She is responsible for research work of the teaching staff. She supervises and reviews research papers of bachelor students and masters. She organizes participations of students on international student competitions and conferences.
Oryntaeva Zhyldyz - manager
The Department of Finance and Accounting having modern database system, information and methodological resources, highly skilled staff strives to become a leader and helps the university to enter the global market of educational services.
The mission of the Finance and Accounting Department is to provide students with high quality education in accounting and finance. These areas include many kinds of specialization. The Department prepares students in the field of Budgeting, Management of Inventories and Investments, as well as in the field of Real Estate and Securities. Career opportunities include working in small and large companies, local and international companies, such as auditing firms, banks, investment and insurance companies, and in companies associated with production, sales, services and new technology.
The Department teaches group of disciplines according to the curriculum of Bachelors’ in “Finance” 050509 and “Accounting and Audit” 050508.
BSc in Finance
A specialist with vast theoretical knowledge and skills of managing labour capital, planning financial flows and enterprise budgets, working out financial strategies, capable of analyzing the economic condition of the enterprise, comparing it with the arisen situation in the market, taking effective financial decisions, directed at gaining the company’s economic stability as well as skills of effective utilization of recourses and maximizing profit.
BSc in Accounting and Audit
A specialist, having vast theoretical knowledge and skills in registration economic operations, drawing up fiscal accounts, analysis and audit of fiscal accounts, capable of fulfilling organizational, managing, clearing and designing activities in technical and economic grounding
of projects with presentation of data necessary for the effectiveness of specialized documents analysis concerning organization of a new enterprise or an economic project and also necessary for receiving mortgages, loan and other kinds of financial support. The bachelor of this sphere is supposed to fulfill economic, managerial, entrepreneurial, commercial, and research work at the enterprises of different forms of ownership and in different spheres of activity.
