On April 2-3 in Atyrau the International scientific geological conference ATYRAUGEO-2013 took place, at which plenary session with the report "About improvement of investigation of exploration and production of deep oil" professor of the Department "Geology and physics of the Earth" of KBTU Sheikh-Ali D.M. made a speech. The report aroused great interest.

Congratulations to Ms Aigerim Shukatirova, the 4^th year student in the Faculty of Oil & Gas Industry and scientific supervisor Prof. Aleksandr Ivakhnenko for awarded 1st place in the International Group Project Competition. Research subject "Enhanced Oil Recovery Using the Injection of Carbon Dioxide". The international competition was held 26-28 March 2013 as a part of Educational Week at the 6th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) in Beijing, China.
