1. Mission

The Faculty mission is professional training of specialists for  highly technological and science intensive production in the oil & gas industry and petrochemical manufacture, meeting the requirements of the modern market and international standards.

 

2. Objectives

  • To raise the quality of training  highly qualified specialists, bachelors and masters in the oil & gas and petrochemical specialities who meet the requirements of consumers, on the basis of  introduction of modern educational technologies and constant perfection of the faculty educational activities.
  • To provide graduates’ competitiveness  in the global educational services market and the personnel market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • To provide increase of the faculty research activities in order to integrate education, science and industry.
  • To  integrate into the world educational process through the establishment of mutually advantageous cooperation with the leading western universities with the aim of conducting joint activities directed at improving the quality of training specialists for oil and gas and petrochemical industry.
  • To expand links with businesses- potential employers- to organize industrial internships and subsequent employment.
  • To train specialists harmoniously combining fundamental technical knowledge with high morality and patriotism.

4. Staff

FOGI currently has 44 teaching staff that includes 32 professors, 10 lecturers and 2 tutors.

Each academic year FOGI invites professors and experts from the oil-gas and chemical industry and international universities to deliver lectures on relevant disciplines.
