GENERAL EDUCATION FACULTY

The Faculty Mission:

 

The mission of the Faculty is to organize, conduct and control educational activities of the 1 year students training in technical skills of general education component, formation of necessary qualifications and skills, and a set of systemic competencies that provide a higher level of readiness for learning basic and specialized courses in subsequent courses.

 

The objectives of the Faculty:

 

-  Creating conditions for professional self-determination of students to enable them to obtain a high level education in relevant qualification;

Educating a specialist as a moral person;

-   Developing needs and creating conditions for self-realization of students, for the disclosure of their creative abilities. Developing a capacity for continuous replenishment of knowledge, skills and needs for self-education activities, a desire of students to learn continuously, updating and improving their knowledge and skills, to further the scientific and professional growth, taking into account a wide range of scientific and methodological technologies;

-   Developing the educational content, the use of innovative educational technologies that enhance effectiveness of future professionals' training;

-   Making individual work of students more active: independent solving of standard and non­standard tasks (collective and individual for each student), execution of computational works, preparation of reports and presentations for students, followed by discussion and analysis of the works;

-   Involving students in the Faculty management;

-   Formation of a strong Faculty staff consisting of the most recognized and respected in their field scientists of the Republic;

-   Developing the programs of the disciplines, using a differentiated approach in determining the structure of each course and choice of teaching technology according to the needs of graduate departments;

-   Developing skills for competent use of modern scientific, educational, and vocational and applied technology to address specific professional goals;

-   Organization of national, municipal, departmental and inter-chair scientific seminars to share knowledge and improve the general intellectual level of the teaching staff;

-   Physical perfection necessary to promote health and maintain efficiency for many years;

-   Developing the faculty as a holistic educational and methodical complex, integrated into the university system to implement within the framework its scientific and theoretical, methodological and practical potential.

 

The faculty consists of 4 departments:

 

- Department of English Language;

- Department of Mathematics and Cybernetics;

- Department of Humanities;

- Department of Sport and Physical Education.
